ZBT has just returned from our successful Midwestern tour. We spent twelve days traveling thousands of miles for five special shows. The toured kick off in Cleveland with our new friend Bobby Slevaggio at Nighttown. The night opened up with two of Bobby’s student combos from Kent State. We finished up with one fantastic set of our arrangements featuring Bobby on saxophone. Tuesday ZBT headed to Washington DC for our show at the historic Blues Alley. This listening room, tucked away in a Georgetown alley, set the perfect environment for the tours best performance. We left high on excitement from one special performance, yet grateful for the opportunity to perform at the worlds longest running jazz venue. ZBT used the next two days off to make our way to Chicago for Friday and Saturday performances at Andy’s Jazz Club. The venue was not new to us, as it was apart of our last tour, but we enjoyed the warm familiarity of our favorite city. Performing in Chicago, especially a large packed room at Andy’s, will always be high on our list. Shopping for jazz by day at the Jazz Record Mart and performing by night at Andy’s. ZBT finished the weekend and the tour in Detroit at Cliff Bell’s. The city and club where new to us, but we quickly felt welcomed and ready to put on a show. This venue had a unique stage, a large sitting area and an amazing restaurant. This is another club we can’t wait to add to our next tour.
ZBT wants to thank every single fan for their support, especially all of those who came out to support us on our Midwestern tour. We are already planning our next go around, so stay tuned for the dates and locations!

ZBT is half way through our Midwest tour. The trio is having a blast traveling and sharing our music with fellow jazz fans. ZBT has had the ability to stay with friends and family for most part of our tour. We would like to thank those people whole heartedly, we couldn’t do what we love without your help and support. ZBT 2013 Spring Tour

ZBT will be embarking on its spring 2013 tour tomorrow. The tour only lasts a week but contains some of the worlds top jazz clubs. ZBT may be playing in a city near you, so please come out and support. The Trio will be selling copies of their debut album “Out of This Town,” so make sure you go home with your very own copy after the show. ZBT has the privilege to play with the great saxophonist Bobby Selvaggio in Cleveland, don’t miss this special performance of ZBT +1.

2013 Update

ZBT hit the ground running in 2013 with their focus on the advancement of the band. The trio has been working hard on developing their marketing and advertisement schemes to put in place these next few months. Rehearsal’s are running smoothly as the trio works on their new exciting arrangements of timeless standards, the new material should make the up coming shows very entertaining.

ZBT’s upcoming in-town performancs are limited due to the hard work being put into the other aspects of the group, but you can catch the trio at:

Johnny Ringos on Saturday Febuary 16th at 8 P.M. ZBT will be sharing the show with the Leon Anderson Quartet for one amazing night of jazz!

Hotel Duval’s Level 8 Lounge on Tuesday March 5th from 8-11.

ZBT will be announcing their 2013 spring tour soon! Shows at Andy’s Jazz Club in Chicago and Blues Alley in D.C. are included, so stay tuned!

ZBT has concluded their fall 2012 tour. ZBT was inspired and grateful for the amazing response received at our tour stops. The Trio had the privilege of warming up the stage twice for Grammy Award Winning trumpet player Brian Lynch and his quartet at Andy’s Jazz Club in Chicago, a definite highlight. ZBT hopes to be back at all the venues visited on this tour along with a handful of new places.

ZBT appreciates the amazing support from old and new fans, particularly the friends and family who gave the trio a place to stay along the way.

ZBT is currently hard at work with Purple Heart Entertainment, booking new gigs all around the U.S.

Out of This Town Reviews

ZBT has had a spectacular summer since the release of our debut album in June. We have had some great CD release shows in Tallahassee, Tampa and Jacksonville. Some great reviews of the album quickly followed.

“Out of This Town” has received reviews from All About Jazz, JazzTimes and Palm Coast Jazz.

“Out of This Town may be the vehicle that takes

the Zach Bartholomew Trio (ZBT) from their native Florida to some

greater exposure. The group’s debut recording is an exercise in

democratic creativity with its namesake leader, bassist Brandon

Robertson and drummer Miles Bozeman each contributing original

compositions.” - KARL ACKERMANN, All About Jazz.

Karl Ackermann wrote a fantastic review for “Out of This Town.” He seemed genuinely impressed with the depth of our music calling it a “Promising first effort” and declared that our songs “inspire deliberation.”

I caught ZBT live a few months back, and knew immediately I was privy to

something ‘new’. I can’t always put my finger on it - which, might be a good

description for something new. Not to say you wont hear snatches of Bill

Evans, Keith Jarrett or Brad Mehldau; but all three members of the

group (particularly Bartholomew) have somehow allowed themselves to

get right to themselves; and one knows at once upon listening that the
